Taiga Design+Build, LLC is a small design based carpentry company located on the rugged shore of Lake Superior in Northeastern Minnesota. We are a licensed Minnesota Residential Building Contractor (BC688735) and offer a full list of services to meet the demands of our customers. We work with a trusted group of subcontractors and suppliers to be sure that the project we do for you exceeds your expectations. From rustic to contemporary, new construction to remodels, from a six bedroom dream escape to a tiny house along the shore, we know that every client is different, and so is every property. About the Owner
Anton Moody came to Grand Marais, Minnesota in 2002. He grew up in Farmington, Minnesota and studied at Gustavus Adolphus College in St.Peter, Minnesota where he studied Studio Art and Philosophy. In 1999 he found himself heading west to the high desert mountains of Baker City, Oregon. Exploring there made him realize that when he returned to Minnesota, he would seek out a landscape of similar scale and beauty. Grand Marais is where he found it.
He soon found himself working as a carpenter, honing his skills and gaining experience and confidence working with a group of successful builders on many diverse projects. Along the way he learned the craft and the business. In late 2011 he decided to make a go as an independent. Anton loves what he does, and it shows in the quality of Taiga’s projects, and in the satisfaction of their customers.
